• Clinical Natural Language Processing: Extracting meaningful insights from unstructured clinical text, including medical timeline construction and the modeling of clinical narratives.
• Health Data Science: Applying advanced analytics and machine learning to large-scale healthcare datasets—such as electronic health records and social media—to generate actionable insights and inform personalized interventions.
• Multimodal Learning: Integrating heterogeneous data types (e.g., text, structured data, and medical images) to build comprehensive patient profiles and enable holistic healthcare applications.
• Knowledge Graphs and Reasoning: Building and utilizing medical knowledge graphs to support automated reasoning, enhance clinical inference, and improve decision-making processes.
• Causal Inference in Health Research: Leveraging AI and statistical methods to investigate the genetic, biological, clinical, social, and environmental factors that contribute to complex mental health conditions.
• Clinical Decision Support Systems: Developing intelligent, data-driven tools to support clinical decision-making and promote efficient, high-quality, and equitable healthcare delivery.
